Scenic Railway

Discover the thrill of a 52 degree incline, riding the steepest passenger railway in the world on the Scenic Railway located in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. The Scenic Railway has been a popular tourist attraction since 1945 and has since seen over 25 million visitors.

Blackbutt 220 mm wide decking was cut with a special band sawn finish for extra grip as the railway platform is covered in mist most days from the waterfall below !

Timber was packaged especially for a helicopter lift over the cliff face.
