Rushcutters Bay Park
In 2005, the City of Sydney made the decision to replace, rather than restore the old kiosk building and to restore the partially fire damaged heritage grandstand which was originally built in 1894 (modified in 1929).
Blackbutt timber from AusTimber was used for this project which features innovative vertical shiplap cladding following the rounded corners of the kiosk and horizontal cladding with motif cut-outs filtering light and providing ventilation to the amenities area.
