Mahogany (Red)

(Eucalyptus resinifera)

A hardwood of the east coast of Australia (Sydney to Townsville), it is highly durable and termite resistant, having a fine grain and attractive deep red colouring, is prized for furniture and wood turning, but is also very well suited to engineering applications and construction.

Red Mahogany may also be a very good substitute for Jarrah, Red Ironbark or Turpentine timbers (depending on the application).
